It has perfect setting close to restaurants or one of the many activities, the gondola, and Lake Wakatipu. The venue is housed in a very well maintained building.

The location was excellent, central. For safety measures it had smoke detectors. Staff was very helpful and hospitable as always.

Ideal lakeside hotel with fabulous views of the lake. The staff - courteous and exceptional. Lovely beds, ironing facilities, a work desk and a fireplace in the room. Clean communal bathroom. A such wonderful way to end my trip.

Clean apartments with beautiful lake and mountain vistas. Excellent amenities, including fully equipped kitchen and daily maid service. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location near a scenic walking/biking path to town. Comfortable beds for a good night's sleep.

Everything one could possibly need was there - washing machine (incl washing powder), dishwasher (incl powder), dryer, fireplace. And if not, the hosts would have tried to arrange for it. They are really nice people. The location of the hotel is excellent - although located on the main road, the place is totally quiet as it lies on the mountain side, next to a beautiful lake. There is a walking/biking/jogging trail next by the hotel, which leads into Queenstown - about 20 min walk.

There was nothing we didn't like.

There are many factors that make up a fabulous hotel experience and villa del lago sum its all together (The friendly service, the comfortable rooms, the view of the lake and mountain)

To work on, maybe you can improve the heater condition in the rooms. The living room one works perfectly.

It's a peaceful place with all we need to feel good. It's located between downtown and mountains (coronet peak and remarkables). Perfect !

Unobstructed view of the lake, excellent facilities (full kitchen & laundry) lots of space and privacy. We had a 1 bedroom apartment. Other rooms might not be the same. Note: not a hotel, so no restaurant or room service, which we knew and didn't need.

A 20 minute walk into town, but that didn't bother us since it was along a lakeside footpath. Less mobile people might have difficulty with the steep hillside and stairs.

The owners were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were beautifully furnished and comfortable.

Parking was slightly far from both the room and the ski lockers.

I would like to extend a very big thank you to Lynne and Keith for making our stay a more than pleasant one. The villas are delightful with spectacular lake and mountain views. I am sure we will be back in the near future.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our wedding experience special. They organized flowers, bubbly, and even added extra touches like swan folded towels and sweets, which really impressed us. The location is stunning with beautiful views of the lake and snow-capped mountains. The suites were designed to maximize the view, with large glass doors and a private and quiet atmosphere. The gas fireplace was a cozy touch, and the furniture and kitchen were well-appointed. we were incredibly pleased with our stay and would consider it the best accommodation in the area.

We felt privileged during our stay and have no complaints.

Hosts (Lyn & Keith) at Villa Del Largo can't do enough for you!! They’re so hospitable, friendly and welcoming! The setting of the apartments is magnificent, tranquil and relaxing. All rooms have ceiling to floor views of Lake Wakatipu and the snow-capped mountains surrounding the lake. Apartments have excellent facilities and are 10 out of 10 in every respect! Our 3 level apartment was right on the lake with just a walking track between it and the crystal clear water's edge of Lake Wakatipu. Fishing charters into the lake are available from the adjacent jetty and the walking track is an easy, picturesque walk into town beside the lake. There is easy access to all ski fields. After our experience at Villa Del Largo we’ll be returning for longer next time!!
